Phantom of the Opera

OK, just got back from seeing The Phantom of the Opera MOVIE. One word...

Incredible.

I heard somewhere that it got bad reviews. Whatever. I'm going to buy it when it comes out. It stayed really true to the play, which was SO important to me. There were only a couple of lines that were changed--I'm not sure why, though. Some of the singing was changed to dialogue, but it wasn't much and it was done well. They also added some additional scenes that aren't in the play (and some additional dialogue), but it enhanced the storyline, so no complaints here. If my memory serves me, I think the additional material stayed true to the book (it's been a LONG time since I've read it--at LEAST 10 years).

If you are able to see it--GO.
This girl will blow your socks off:

Hmmm. I may just have to do that. My uncle did give me a gift certificate to the movies for Christmas...that picture is really cool.

I saw it just for Emmy Rossum. I didn't like the movie because it was a mediocre adaptation of a mediocre production.
