Hi all. I'm at Dad's - have been since Monday - on his excruciatingly slow computer. It's painful, it really is. It takes 20 minutes to check 5 email messages... sigh.
Well, I'm here and posting. I've been up way past my bedtime lately and am looking forward to going to bed early tonight. My only real plan is to read. I was going to go to church tonight, the Wed night service at CLW is usually so powerful and God's presence is just right there... but I could barely walk in a straight line this morning at work. I kind of thought that staying home and being immobile might be the wisest idea. I think I'm going to go to another "God-follower meeting" tomorrow anyway... a little more intimate and close. I just am expecting to hear from God over the next few days. Every day, actually. I think expectation is a good thing. It makes us listen more. I truly truly want to listen and to HEAR.
Have you checked out The Bookshelf on the right? Scroll down a little bit to see what I'm reading. I always like to know what other people are reading and have gotten some good ideas from friends. For example, i've put a book Barbara mentioned on her blog on hold at the library, and have a ton of different authors on my Coming Attractions list because of the people I know. I thought I'd provide that to others as well! If you click on the title of a book it'll take you to a BRIEF review of it. Don't worry, no spoilers. :) It's all just my opinions and thoughts. And some good recommendations. :)
OK, I think I'm going to go read now. And go to bed while it's still light out. Lakefair is this week... i really want to go. Actually, I REALLY want to go down there for lunch. I only have 30 minutes though, and i can't walk down to the lake, eat lunch and make it back in half an hour. Maybe I can improvise? We'll see. YUMMY! The fireworks are this Sunday starting at 10. Anyone going??? HEY - that's the day I met all you CLW folks last year! Remember?! :) (That is, if any of you read this!)

Oh, fun fireworks! Enjoy them for me, okay? And I must say, I REALLY like your On the Bookshelf. It's very fun and it's another kind of post, you know? You can say where you're at by saying, This is what I'm taking in right now.
And once more sleep eludes me. Sigh...
