Just a note...
I've been in the beginning of the Bible lately. Currently in Leviticus. Torn between going completely nuts with how many sacrifce options there are and having to read through them all, and... the fact that even before grace was offered freely through Jesus Christ... God, perfection Himself, allowed ways for His people to come to Him. That pretty much blows me away.
I just finished a book called Home To Holly Springs. It was really sweet, I liked it. I'm going to look up the series that the main character came out of and read those. But first I have to finish Anna Karenina - it's on my 30 List.
Speaking of my 30 List... I'm supposed to go on a date... sigh... I put it on there hoping... but at this point, I've got 16 days left. It makes me sad... I just don't know single men... and the older I get, the more married they get. Where ARE the good, single, Christian, men? I've come to suspect that they don't exist anymore... I certainly haven't seen any lately. In that book I just mentioned, the main character quoted someone... basically, the person said... Two people plus two people equals four people. but if you double one person... you get FAR more than just two people... you get an exponential amount of LIFE. I'm just looking for one. That's all. And it's so FREAKING frustrating.
Yikes, it's almost 10. bedtime.

I am SO blessed
I listen to KMPS. I love KMPS. It's the best country station in Seattle, in my opinion. Anyway, last week they were doing a contest where people had to be the 25th caller and win George Strait's new CD "Troubador." Guess what? I was caller #25! :) Just got my CD the other day!
In addition, I got entered into a contest with 19 other people... for a trip to the Academy of Country Music awards in Las Vegas. On Monday... Stubbs, from KMPS called me. I won. I WON. I FREAKING WON. This link is the trip. We get tickets down there, hotel room, tickets to the awards show, plus all the parties and such. I can't believe it.
I am SO blessed.

I should have a rule...
Cosmo is sleeping on my desk. I can't see the bottom part of my computer because he's completely covering it. he's so cute, though... I can't make him move. hehe they've been really sleepy today... therefore, very snuggly!
Today I cleaned my kitchen. AND went grocery shopping. Nice to have some food in the cupboard. And I like going to church at night on Saturdays. it's really good. I really like my church. I've met so many people who've grown up there or have been going for YEARS (15 years for one woman tonight)... and it is really good to hear stories like that... sometimes people stay in churches because... it's habit. Or family is there, or something. But this lady said, "I've been coming for 15 years. I love it here. and I come on Saturday's because I love the way Pastor Peter preaches. and besides, don't you just love sleeping in on Sunday mornings?! :)" I couldn't have said it better, lol.
BTW - I've really been in the Bible lately... I can't believe how I've grown from it. Remember my 30 List - how I'm supposed to be reading every day? Well, God's brought me through... Matthew, Philippians, Romans, Titus, Isaiah, Hebrews, working on Hosea right now... I feel like I'm missing something. It's incredible. I feel like every day I'm praticing obedience first... getting in the Word and simply obeying God. I'm learning about and from Him. I'm growing in joy like never before. I feel like I'm completely different than I was 3 months ago. How I respond to stressors in life is SO different... completely evolving. Like... like I have my Jesus filter back - it's been so long since I've looked at life through Him.
Anyway, it's totally late and I have to go read and then go to bed. Any suggestions for the next book? Jenni suggested Hosea (while we were youtubeing) - I'm up for any other ideas, otherwise I'll just jump in to something!
Night all!
